Companies across the globe are implementing these tools to increase collaboration, visibility, and structure in the workplace. However, these same companies often don’t have the time, resources, or knowledge to train their employees. As a result, DIY training becomes the norm, which leads to broken processes, inconsistent adoption of tools, and decreased ROI on your Atlassian investment.

• Organize your wiki pages in spaces
• Create wiki pages and blog posts (announcements)
• Use templates, navigation, and meta-data to keep your content organized
• Extend Confluence with popular Marketplace Apps

We know you don’t want to sit on Zoom all day, so our live, 3-hour training session can be taken all at once, or divided into two 90-minute sessions.

What you'll learn

After attending this course, you will be able to:

• Understand how Spaces in Confluence work and how they’re used
• Define Findability and Discoverability, two key UX concepts
• Set Space permissions to reflect how your Space audience and content contributors work in different kinds of Spaces
• Organize, design, and easily navigate your space using the page tree
• Add functionality to your Confluence instance with Marketplace apps

Anyone who is:

• New to Confluence and leading a team that is using Confluence
• Interested in learning how to keep your content organized and easy to find while your team is creating content
• Interested in learning effective Confluence space administration techniques that relate to organizing your space
• Interested in content organization strategies that are effective when you are responsible for ensuring that Confluence remains easy to use as it becomes filled with lots of content

• Training materials are yours to keep after completion of this course

Prerequisites

To get maximum benefit from this class, students should have either taken Confluence Essentials from Atlassian University, or have equivalent experience. Students should know how to use Confluence to:

• Create content (especially pages) in a Confluence Space
  • Identify when a page is a descendant of a Parent Page and 
  • Understand how this parent is represented in the Space's Page Tree
• Use Page Macros to enrich content on a page
