Don’t Miss Out…Register Today for Our DevOps & Baseball Event!
There are just three days left to register for If You Build It, They Will Deploy: Join Us for a Day of DevOps & Baseball! We’re very excited to bring this one-of-a-kind event to you on March 16th. Space is limited, so be sure to register ASAP!
We’re thrilled to have the following guest speakers on hand to discuss their DevOps journeys:
Mark Maleitzke – Head of DevOps for Petco
Mark will discuss the DevOps transformation at Petco and address how best to get your management team and organization to break old habits and form new ones.
Ed Bukoski – Senior Software Engineer, Developer Productivity, Netflix
Ed will talk about Netflix’s migration of all of its source code to Git for version control, and how this important change furthered the independence of engineering teams, enabling them to build, test and deploy with ease.
Stephen Kuenzli – Founder of QualiMente
Stephen will present on how to deliver modern infrastructure with less drama, particularly as it relates to the Cloud. He’ll discuss the key elements of team design, infrastructure delivery process, and methods to deliver high quality infrastructure. He’ll also address how to organize and prepare teams to migrate, what key methods are for maximizing success and managing business risk, and more.
We’ll host our DevOps information session in the morning from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Phoenix Marriott Tempe at The Buttes. After we wrap up the educational portion of the event, we’ll head to Tempe Diablo Stadium for a spring training game!
Go the distance with Isos Technology! Sign up today for this fun and information-packed event, and we guarantee your DevOps dreams will become a reality.
Add-On Spotlight of the Month: Agile Remaining Estimate Counter
The Isos team digs this add-on in a big way! Agile Remaining Estimate Counter (or AREC, as it’s also known…) is an amazing app from Rozdoum that will transform the way your team handles sprints.
AREC works in conjunction with Jira Server to show total remaining effort for partially completed issues, including sub-tasks. It calculates correct remaining effort in the same values as used for “Estimate” in Scrum or Kanban boards: hours, story points or custom values.
We use AREC at Isos to monitor our sprint commitments, and we’ve found it to be incredibly helpful. Check it out on the Atlassian Marketplace for more information!
Time for Spring Cleaning?
Spring is almost upon us, which means it’s time to engage in some major seasonal cleaning! If you find yourself in need of a Jira or Confluence cleanup, Isos can perform an Information Architecture Review that will help you streamline your Confluence pages, archive old, irrelevant ones, and prune unused workflows and custom fields in Jira. We’ll also dig deep to figure out how you can optimize your Atlassian toolset. Please contact me if you’d like to get the ball rolling on some Atlassian spring cleaning! Hope to hear from you soon!
