Job Description: Perform software design, development, and unit testing as part of client's professional service team.  This may require research and analysis.  Expertise and work efforts focus on the programming and development of open source based solutions. Duties may be performed at customer's site.



Candidate Profile:

Type: Full Time
Salary: $90,000 - $125,000
Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science
• five plus years of professional experience in product design, development and support

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Technical Skills

• 
Experience developing web-based applications with Java and JEE APIs
• 
Professional experience with application/product deployment and documentation
• 
Understanding of core concepts and principles of XML 


Non-Technical Skills

• Strong analytical and design skills
• Solid understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation, quality assurance and production support
• Solid communications and interpersonal skills.
• Strong teamwork skills

Preferred Knowledge & Skills: 


• Experience with open source technologies
• Working familiarity with portal technologies, JSR 168 Portlet Specification
• 
Advanced understanding of Object Oriented Design, Design Patterns, and UML
• 
Professional experience with XML related technologies, especially XSL/XPATH and DTD/Schema
  
• Professional experience with Java XML APIs, especially WWWC DOM and dom4j
• 
Professional experience with relational database products, especially Oracle
• 
Professional experience developing multi-threaded and distributed systems 

• Professional experience using common source code control tools, especially SVN 

• Working familiarity with common server operating systems, especially Linux and Windows 

• Experience deploying and troubleshooting Tomcat 

• Professional experience with Hibernate and Spring MVC
